Erythroxylum coca, commonly known as coca (from Quechua: kuka), is a South American species of the Erythroxylum family, native to the rugged foothills of the Amazonian Andes.
It is a cultivated species native to the Andes of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru and western areas of northwestern Argentina, but it also grows wild.
